Investment Criteria

Funding and support for early stage ventures with innovative founding teams pursuing large new opportunities. Most interested in areas where I have experience, such as search, advertising, social apps, consumer products, payment/finance, and enterprise solutions (e.g. storage, backup and anti-spam), but will consider other segments such as mobile and gaming.

What companies look like when I invest

The founders can clearly articulate what problem or opportunity their solution addresses, have a viable strategy for gaining market adoption, and have built enough to be able to demonstrate how their product or service will work.

With experience as an entrepreneur, operating executive, and investor I like to help guide founders through the many aspects of financing and building a successful company – fundraising, recruiting, leadership, marketing, partnerships, revenue models, etc. Additionally I offer domain expertise in search, advertising, analytics, viral marketing, social apps, and large-scale operations. I am often asked to be an advisor, and sometimes will take a board position if there is a good fit.
